BRICKS
Bricks Are One Of The
Major Construction Material From The Starting Era Of The Construction Works. It
Broadly Used In Buildings, Bridges And All Other Civil Works. Each And Every Civil Structure Is Incomplete
Without Bricks.
We’re Using Red Clay
Bricks From A Long While Ago. Even Geologists Find Traces Of Bricks From The Very First Modern Civilization Sindhu Dynasty Which
Is Destroyed About Ten Thousand Years Ago.
Now We Are In The Era Of
Science & Technology. During This Revolutionary Age, Building Engineers Developing
Some New Type Of Building Materials Which Become More Useful In Different
Aspects. Here We Are Going To Discuss One Of Them: Modern Bricks
There Are Three Major
Types Which We Have To Know More About…
1.
Cement
Concrete (CC) Bricks
2.
Fly
ash Bricks
3.
Aerated
Autoclave(AAC) Blocks
CEMENT CONCRETE BRICKS
Raw Material:
1. Portland Cement
2. Grey Sand
3. Gravel (Chips)
4. Water
Machinery Required:
1. Weighing Scale
2. Pan Mixer
3. Conveyor Belt
4. Vibrator
5. Hydraulic Press
6. Different Moulds
7. Wooden Plates
Manufacturing Process:
First Weigh All The
Raw Material In Their Required Ratio. After It Make Semi Dry Mixture Of These
Material In Pan Mixture, Send This Mix To Vibrator Cum Hydraulic Press Through
Conveyor.
Fill The Moulds With
Mix And Vibrate And The Compress With Hydraulic Press. Get Moulds Out From The
Machine And Demould The Bricks From Their Brackets On A Plain And Dry Wooden
Panel. Let It Settling Dry For About 24 Hours.
Large amount of water
required for curing. Curing Will Be Done For 28 Days As Other CC Works. All
Process Takes Usually A Month Long. Before Dispatching Must Do Proper Lab Tests
According To IS Code.
Pros:
·
Construction Workers Are Familiar With CC Works.
·
Other Type Of CC Products Also Can Be Made With Same
Setup.
Cons:
·
It’s Not A Environment Friendly Product.
·
It Is Not Differ In Weight And Size From Regular
Bricks.
FLYASH BRICKS
Raw Materials:
1. Fly ash
2. Sand
3. Cement
4. Lime And Gypsum
5. Water
Machinery Used:
Same As CC Bricks Or Use An Automatic
Plant.
Manufacturing Process:
Most Of The Process Of
Making Fly ash Bricks Is Similar To CC Bricks. You Just Have To Check The
Amount Of Fly ash Used Which Is About 60 Percent Of Total Mass.
Curing Of These Bricks
Done For 10 Days So Total Process Time Is Less Then CC Bricks.
Pros:
1. Fly ash Bricks Are Environment
Friendly And Reduce The Weight Of Dead Load On Buildings.
2. These Bricks Are Some
Better Properties Than Of Clay & CC Bricks.
Cons:
1. Fly ash Particles May
Damage Respiratory System of Human Body.
2. Bigger Space Is Required to Store Fly ash.
AAC BLOCKS
Raw Materials:
1. Cement
2. Sand
3. Lime
4. Gypsum & Alumina
5. Water
6. Fly ash(Optional)
Machinery Required:
AAC Blocks Are Made
Under A Fully Automatic Plant Which These Different Units Like-
1. Mixing Unit
2. Molding Unit
3. Cutting Unit
4. Autoclave Clin
5. Steam Unit
Manufacturing Process:
As We Know AAC Blocks Are
Make Under A Fully Automatic Plant So During The Process Minimum Human Interfere
Is Occurred. At First Machine Mix Dry Cement, Sand And Fly ash Very Well After
It Adds Plenty Of Water To Make Slurry. This Slurry Will Be Blend For 15
Minutes And Then Aeration Agents With Gypsum And Alumina Will Add Into Mixture.
After Shaking It For 2 Minutes To Get A Perfect Blend, It Is Ready To Mould. The
Mix Then Poured In Mould And After An Hour It Will Be Demould From Case. Now The
Huge Block Sent To Cutting Unit O Cut It Into Required Size. After This Whole
Batch Is Send To Autoclave Clin For Foaming Of Concrete. Foam Concrete Is
Develop With The Help Of Aeration Agents In A Specific Temperature And
Pressure. After This It’ll Send For Curing In A High Pressurized Steam Unit.
All This Process Takes Up to 15-20 Hours, And These Blocks Can Be Dispatched On
Same Day.
Pros:
1. These Blocks Masonry
Is About 70-80 Percent Lighter Then Other Masonry.
2. Quick Dispatching So
Less Stock Space Required.
Cons:
1. AAC Plant Costs Very High.
2. More Skilled Workers
Required.
STAFF REQUIRED
1. Site Incharge
2. Supervisor
3. Office Assistant
4. Marketing Assistant
5. Security Guard cum
Peon
6. 4
Skilled Labourer
7. 10 Skilled labourer
INVESTMENT(APPX.)
1. Machinery
a. Semi Automatic (5-8 lacs)
b. Fully Automatic (30-40 lacs)
c.
AAC Plant (80-90 lacs)
2. Land (Min. 1 lacs
Square Feet)
3. Site Development (5
lacs)

*NOTE:
This is an initial report. For more further details we first have to select which type of
brick we are going to produce with the help of which type of machinery or plant
used.
